Overview of 3J40 Elastic Alloys
Request A Quote +

3J40 is a kind of precipitation hardening nickel-based alloys, its chromium content is 40%. 3J40 alloy in solid solution condition has good ductility, and can be machined easily. After high strain rate cold deformation and aging treatment, 3J40 alloy can obtain high mechanical properties and elastic properties. 3J40 alloy also can be strengthened by solid solution and aging treatment. The metallurgical structure of 3J40 alloy in solution condition is single-phase austenite. The hardening effect of cold deformation to 3J40 alloy is remarkable. After solution or cold deformation, 3J40 alloy can be strengthened by aging treated at 500 ~ 650 ℃.

3J40 alloy has high hardness, strength, elastic limit, the storage ratio, fatigue strength, low elasticity lag and aftereffect, non-magnetic, wear resistance, shock resistance, impact resistance, excellent corrosion resistance properties. 3J40 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to humidity, salt spray environment and acid, alkali, halogens and other media. 3J40 alloy is mainly used to make elastic elements, whose working temperature is below 400℃ or in corrosive media, It also can be used to make special bearings, small shafts, ball, stamping dies and cutting tools, which require high corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties.
